What's your setup?

All servers are different depending on what they're used for but at a minimum

Multiple drives in RAID 1 or RAID 10
8GB RAM
Quad Core CPU
CludLinux
cPanel
Softaculous

These are bare minimums however. Some production servers are beefier.

This is my next step is setting up servers, something I have always wanted to get into. I also thinks it's a must for any growing company. Resellers and vps's are great to start off with but over time you will out grow them and need more.

Absolutely. Not only that but you'll want to have more control over your hosting environment as well.

I agree, I almost to that now. I have to learn more before I make a big change like that.

Technology: Ivy Bridge
CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1245v2
Cores / Threads: 4 / 8
Frequency: 3.4GHz+ / 3.8GHz Turbo Boost
RAM: 32 GB DDR3
Hard disk: 2x 2TB SATA3 in hardware RAID 1
Bandwidth: 200 Mbps guaranteed
Then we use CloudLinux, cPNginx and Pagespeed.

Sounds like a nice setup Sam.

Thanks. We host technewscentral.co.uk which has used around 40Gb of bandwidth in a month. The previous setup we had with a high end vps didn't cut it. There were some major load spikes which caused slowness and some site downtimes even after the server was further optimised.

We have some of these servers below:

Technology: Hexacore Ivy Bridge-E
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1650 V2 - incl Hyper-Threading
Cores/Threads: 6/12
Frequency: 3.5GHz+ / 3.9GHz Turbo Boost
RAM: 128GB
Hard disk: 2x 2TB SATA 6GB/s
