Is it me or is wordpress confusing?

I'm trying to make a theme or modify one at the very least and everything I try to do in wordpress is very confusing.

There's just a learning curve. Once you get the hang of it it's actually very, very easy.

I was thinking that as well. But I thought since I make themes for different forum softwares it would be easier.

what do you need to do in wordpress? i have good knowledge in it.

I have since restarted the site as a forum.

What were you trying to do? Maybe we can help enabling you to get a blog established on the site .

When I was thinking about opening this place I was going to use WP with a directory plugin, but no matter what I did the menu and everything was never right. On a side not I was thinking about a blog page for here to help boost providers advertisements.
