Yah, VestaCP is an overall easier install than even cPanel. There isn't much to configure once it's up.
Most of the configuration to the individual services of the web server will have to be done in the services conf files.
As for making domains, emails, ftp accounts, dns settings, etc typical front end cPanel stuff VestaCP has it all.
There are MRTG type graphs for CPU, memory, network, etc on the admin side of the VestaCP.
